Having sex at work all the time, having a relationship with co-workers (not in a company with investors, no way), and acting like a baby was just part of what Killian did that irritated me. To top it off, Killian, as the head of the corporation was also utterly ridiculous. That plot point just rang so completely false. It was annoying to read, and touched upon a few HUGE pet peeves of mine.Ģ) A plot that is utterly implausible: There is just simply no way that an auditing company would send a 21 year old (who graduated college and got work experience as a baby, apparently) to work on a huge account with a major corporation BY HIMSELF. They are utterly devoted to one another and are CRAZY reckless with their bodies/health without knowing each other for more than a week. However, in this book the two men are in lust within seconds, have a "deep connection" within minutes, and are in love within days. Do you like your romance with proper buildup? Lots of sexual tension and then a gradual falling in love over a long period of time and many shared experiences? I certainly do. Where do I even begin?!? It was great to hold the book in my hand without it vanishing in the air the way the songs did. One of my television songs, A SQUASH AND A SQUEEZE, was made into a book in 1993, with illustrations by the wonderful Axel Scheffler.
